The Night We Will Not Forget
July 7, 2016 shocked the nation when DART Officer Brent Thompson, Dallas Police Sergeant Michael Smith, Senior Corporal Lorne Ahrens, Officer Michael Krol, and Officer Patricio "Patrick" Zamarripa were assassinated while protecting their community.
Nine additional officers and two civilians were injured that evening, including Shetamia Taylor, who shielded her sons from gunfire.
Lives were forever changed because of hatred directed toward those who choose the noble profession of protecting and serving others.
Ten years later, we continue to remember, honor, and support those affected by that tragedy.
